ELIGIBILITY

Employees

You are eligible to enroll in PIMCO benefits if you are regularly scheduled to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.

Dependents

You may also enroll your eligible family members, including:

  • Legally married spouse of the same or opposite sex
  • Domestic partner
  • Children (under the age of 26) by birth, marriage, domestic partnership, legal adoption or placement for adoption, or any other children for whom you are the court-ordered guardian
  • Children of any age who became totally and permanently disabled before the age of 26
  • Children for whom a Qualified Medical Child Support Order (QMCSO) requires coverage

Verifying dependent eligibility

You may be asked to verify that your dependents meet the benefits eligibility requirements. If this applies, you will be asked to verify your dependents’ eligibility and submit documentation (such as a marriage license, birth certificate, etc.).

You must submit documentation to validate dependents’ eligibility for coverage within 31 days of when they became eligible. If you do not provide documentation by the specified deadline, your unverified dependent(s) will be dropped from coverage.
