The Anthem medical plans have prescription drug coverage through CarelonRx. You can receive up to a 30-day supply from a retail pharmacy, or you can use the mail order service to receive a 90-day supply of maintenance medications.

Anthem also offers RxCare Nexus, a program that uses your medical and prescription drug claims to get a complete picture of your health. It can help identify gaps in your care and connect you with a multi-disciplinary team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, nurses, social workers, nutritionists and behavioral health specialists for personalized support.

If you need specialty medication, you can enroll in the CarelonRx cost relief specialty program and the CarelonRx mail home delivery service to reduce your out-of-pocket costs. Specialty medications you receive through the program will have a $0 copay.

If you enroll in the PPO Saver Plan, you must first meet the annual deductible before the $0 copay for specialty medication applies.
